Hi Everyone,
I have the CUTEST card ever for you all today! It features the Hippo Happiness bundle!
Have you seen this adorable set on page 49 of our annual catalog? I think it was the perfect choice for my wonderful goddaughter's 7th birthday this week. I did not do a video tutorial but have included directions below on this project as well as a supply list. This is also what I would consider a fun fold card. You know I love those! I'm shocked at how quickly it came together. Can you tell her favorite colors are pink and orange? LOL Magenta Madness and Mango Melody worked great!
Here's a quick video of how the card opens:
Directions:
- Cut a piece of Whisper White to 4" x 10" and score at 5"
- Die cut 2nd largest Stitched Rectangle in 2020-2022 In Color DSP, add to front of Whisper White
- Cut 2 - 3 1/2" squares of Whisper White and score them diagonally and adhere to back of Whisper White base folding over front of In Color DSP layer.
- Cut a piece of Magenta Madness to 4 1/4 x 5 1/4 and Whisper White base to it. So, now your Magenta Madness is the card back.
- Die cut 2 - labels from Hippo & Friends dies and layer together.
- Stamp your Hippo in Gray Granite. I stamped off for background hippo image. Full strength for top Hippo layer and Memento Black for face.
- Belly Band - Vellum 1 1/4" x 11, wrap around card.
- I add a piece of Mango Melody DSP 1" x 4 1/4" to center of Vellum.
- Stamp and die cut balloons. I added some Wink of Stella to them also.
- I used Family Party and A Grand Kid for inside sentiments.
Supply List:
Love your card! I wasn't really sure how the 3 1/2" squares work?
ReplyDeleteHi. The 3 1/2 squares are the two white triangular pieces on front that create the flap. After they are scored diagonally they get adhered to create the flap. Hope that helps!
